The Barbados Statistical Service (BSS) will be hosting a workshop for supervisors, as part of its preparations for the 2010 Population and Housing Census.

The census trainers will be instructing approximately 615 enumerators at centres across the island, from Monday, March 15, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The survey will be conducted by enumerators from the department for approximately six weeks in May. It is designed to assess the changes to the Barbadian population and housing landscapes since 2000, when the last Census was carried out by the BSS.

At the end of the exercise, the data collected will determine the implementation and evaluation of its social and economic programmes.
