Barbadians desirous of pursuing post secondary or tertiary education and training, can do so through a number of institutions which are registered with the Barbados Accreditation Council (BAC).

The BAC recently released a list of institutions which have registered with that organisation, and as a result are considered to be "lawfully operating in Barbados" from October 12, this year.

These are: the Barbados Civil Aviation Training Centre, Charnocks, St. Philip; Howes Inc, Unit D, Barbados Small Business Development Centre, Fontabelle, St. Michael; Personal Body Health Care Clinic and School of Holistic Therapies, 1A Endeavour Plantation, Endeavour, St. Thomas; QBMed, 5th Avenue Harts Gap, Christ Church; and Semaj International School of Cosmetology and Trichology, Dockland Place, Cavan’s Lane, Bridgetown, St. Michael.

The University of the West Indies’ (UWI) Open Campus, at Cave Hill, St. Michael and the Pine, St. Michael; Regional Management Services Inc., 62 Free Hill, Black Rock, St. Michael; Allied Health Career Institute, Church of the Nazarene District Office, Eagle Hall, St. Michael; and Dale Carnegie Training (Barbados), Southern Palms Beach Hotel, St. Lawrence Gap, Christ Church are also institutions which are accredited.
