A series of virtual interactive sessions with Minister of Education, Technological and Vocational Training, Santia Bradshaw, are among the list of activities organised by the Ministry to celebrate Education Month.

The conversations with the Minister, dubbed Let’s Talk, will be held throughout the month. Information on the links will be shared via email with students, teachers and parents.

Also on the agenda is a virtual mental and health and wellness symposium on the topic: Take Good Care of Me: Self-care and Renewal from the Inside Out. It is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, October 13.

There will also be a panel discussion on the theme for this year: Education Reimagined: Exploring the New Frontiers for Teaching, Learning and National Development in the 21st century, on Thursday, October 21.

The two public events will be streamed live on the Media Resource Department’s YouTube channel (MRD Barbados) beginning at 6:00 p.m. on the aforementioned dates.

The public is also invited to view a video feature titled: Conversations on Special Needs Education in Barbados, on Monday, October 25, on the MRD’s YouTube channel.

There will also be a logo and slogan competition for the National Student Council, open to primary and secondary school students only, and a social media exercise/dance competition geared towards promoting physical activity.
