The Diabetic Group and health care team at the Edgar Cochrane Polyclinic, Wildey, St. Michael, will host several activities as a lead-up to World Diabetes Day on Friday, November 14.

The activities, under the theme: Health Living and Diabetes, begin on Sunday, November 9, with a church service at St. Barnabas Anglican Church at 9:15 a.m.

On Monday, November 10, there will be a video presentation and demonstrations by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture at the polyclinic at 10:00 a.m.

Everyone is invited to an aerobics dancing session on Tuesday, November 11 from 4.30 p.m., and on Wednesday, November 12, there will be a games and karaoke evening, also beginning at 4.30 p.m. Both activities take place at the polyclinic.

Thursday, November 13, is Open Day at the polyclinic, where from 8:00 a.m. to 3.30 p.m., visitors may view displays of craft by patients, and products by participating companies.

There will also be testing of blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol as well as HIV Rapid Testing. Breakfast will be served and a nutritionist will be on hand to demonstrate the preparation of a quick, healthy breakfast.

The activities end on Friday, November 14, with a tour and picnic at Martin???s Bay and Bath, St. John.
