A second Passenger Transport Service Operator Training Programme will be offered from Monday, July 9, for interested operators and companies.

The three-month programme, which was first launched in June, is being coordinated by the Ministry of Tourism and facilitated by the Barbados Community College (BCC).?? It will be held on Mondays and Thursdays, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., and Sundays, from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Themes to be addressed in the eight modules will include: History and Geography of Barbados (inclusive of knowledge and culture of Barbados as a tourist destination, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, NULL, NULL, 0); Quality Customer Service (inclusive of passengers with disabilities, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, NULL, NULL, 0); Effective Communication (inclusive of current affairs, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, NULL, NULL, 0); Foreign Language Skills (basic courtesies in a minimum of three foreign languages, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, NULL, NULL, 0); and Business Management.

Participants in the pilot programme will receive certification upon completion of the course.
