Grantley Adams Memorial Secondary School will, next Monday, February 6, launch their activities for African Awareness Month with emphasis on Haiti.

The school at Blackman’s, St. Joseph, will begin its programme there at 9:30 a.m. with a service by the Mount Pisgah Spiritual Baptist Church.  Later, guest speaker, Reverend Onkpha Wells, will speak on Haiti – Why We Support Haiti.

The school will also launch its Haiti Relief Effort with students expected to fill bins with various donations. Furthermore, they will showcase their skills at building a solar cooker, as an added donation for Haiti. Tutor Adhim Muhammad will guide them in the process.

Meanwhile, Sharon Primary School will host its first activities on Tuesday, February 7, at 9:00 a.m. This will be a church service dubbed: African Assembly at the Sharon Moravian Church, in St. Thomas. The guest speaker will be Historian, Trevor Marshall.
