Persons involved in agro-processing will get the opportunity to hear how they can improve the quality of their products for the export market, and improve the competitiveness of their enterprises.

The Barbados National Standards Institution (BNSI), along with officials from the CARICOM Regional Organisation for Standards and Quality, will host a national dialogue on Quality Infrastructure (QI) Export Support for the local agro-processing sector.

The virtual workshops will be held from Tuesday, September 7, starting at 9:00 a.m., and continuing from 9:30 a.m. daily, on Wednesday, September 8, to Friday, September 10.

The objectives of the sessions are to increase the awareness of quality in enhancing business competitiveness; promote greater understanding of the role of QI in the development of the agro-processing sector, and to provide guidance to QI institutions on matching services to meet the demands of agro-processors.
