The Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA) Inc. will be illuminated pink in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October.

The initiative, dubbed Airport Goes Pink, will be launched tomorrow, Tuesday, October 1, on the Mezzanine floor of the Departure Terminal at the GAIA at 7:00 p.m.

GAIA Inc. is a sponsor of the Barbados Cancer Society’s Breast Screening Programme. In addition to lighting the airport pink, a human ribbon will be formed as a symbolic gesture on the Departure Terminal’s floor.

During the launch ceremony, Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Kerrie Symmonds, will give remarks and make a presentation.
