All Hands on Deck: Embrace, Empower, Enhance will be the theme for this year???s May Day celebrations, which will climax with a parade on May 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The parade will feature representatives from the Ministry of Labour, along with various government departments and private entities, who will walk from the Garrison Savannah to Browne???s Beach.

Parade participants will travel along Dalkeith Road, Culloden Road, Pine Road, Tweedside Road, Roebuck Street, Crumpton Street, St. Michael???s Row, Bridge Street, Probyn Street and end on Bay Street.

In the lead up to the parade, a Thanksgiving Service will be held at Solidarity House on Sunday, April 27, at 4:30 p.m. In addition, there will be a Heroes??? Day Outreach on Monday, April 28, where St. Philip District Hospital, the Psychiatric Hospital, Gordon Cummins, St. Lucy and St. Michael District Hospitals will be visited.

A party will also be held for residents of children???s homes. The final event will be a cricket match at the Barbados Workers Union Labour College, Mangrove, St. Philip, on Sunday, May 4, at 1:00 p.m.
