The Ministry of Health and Wellness has advised that all non-urgent polyclinic services have been discontinued.
All appointments to the general practitioner service are also cancelled and the polyclinics will now focus on urgent cases as well as issuing prescriptions for persons with chronic diseases.
Polyclinics have been reconfigured and the areas designated for the assessment of persons with respiratory issues have been expanded.
Special arrangements are in place at each polyclinic to receive patients with respiratory problems and direct them to the designated areas.
The 24-hour routine polyclinic service at the Winston Scott Polyclinic will continue alongside an increased capacity to handle respiratory cases.
