The island’s leading proponents on alternative energy will discuss the benefits of implementing other energy sources next week, when Government and the Central Bank of Barbados, hosts a joint two-day symposium.

It will be held under the theme: Alternative Energy: A Pathway to a Sustainable Future in Barbados on Monday, September 6, and Tuesday, September 7, at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, Two Mile Hill, St. Michael, from 9:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. each day.

During the event, participants will hear presentations from a number of companies and individuals such as the Barbados Light and Power Limited, Solar Dynamics, BICO Limited, and Project Manager at the Caribbean Hotel Efficiency Action, Loretto Duffy-Mayers.

Minister of Economic Affairs, Empowerment, Innovation, Trade, Industry and Commerce, Dr. David Estwick, will deliver the feature address. jwilson@barbados.gov.bb
