The courses offered by the Ministry of Health’s Animal Control Centre and the Veterinary Association have been postponed from this month, and will now run from Tuesday,?? November 8 to Thursday, December 8.

Seven classes will be held at the Barbados Community College (BCC). The courses include Legislation, Choosing a Dog, Dog Care, Principles of Sanitation, Dog Handling, Vector Control and Canine Disease. The programme will cater to the island’s 18,000 licensed animal owners, however, members of the general public, may also attend.

No more than 30 persons will be admitted per class. There is a registration fee, no prior certificates are necessary. For more information, interested persons are asked to call the Student Affairs Office of the BCC, at telephone number 426-2858 ext. 5232/5231/5210/5211.
