Barbados is the beneficiary of a grant from the United Nations Educational Scientific Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to promote anti-doping education on the island.??

The grant will see the implementation of a campaign by the National Anti-Doping Commission (NADC), an arm of the National Sports Council, which will be launched tomorrow, Thursday, June 6, at 2:00 p.m. at the Barbados Olympic Association Headquarters, Wildey, St. Michael.

While the campaign is designed to increase national anti-doping awareness, specific attention will be given to sportspersons, the physically challenged, teachers, coaches and cultural practitioners.

The initiative is being facilitated under a grant from UNESCO’s Fund for the Elimination of Doping in Sport.??
