The iOS version of the new Government app, which will allow users to stay informed of the changes in telephone numbers arising from the Wide Area Network (WAN), is now available.
The free app may be found by visiting the Apple Store and searching for Barbados Government Directory.
Meanwhile, members of the public are reminded that the recently created Android app may be found by visiting the Google Play store and searching for Government of Barbados Directory.
Users may download the apps and use them online or offline to search for the new numbers of ministries, departments and agencies currently integrated on the WAN; dial those numbers searched for directly from the apps; and email those departments represented on the apps.
In addition, users may also view a map of the area in which the department, ministry or agency is located, highlighting the direction from current to intended location.
Those users who wish to access the new Public Service directory in an alternative manner have been advised that the WAN supports a centralised operator service which is accessible by calling 535-0000, any weekday between 8:15 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., and requesting a transfer to the respective department.
