The Ministry of Housing and Lands will host a two-day application fair, next week to assist applicants of the Incremental Home Construction Programme of the Housing and Neighbourhood Upgrading Programme (HNUP).

It will be held on Friday, May 28 and Saturday, May 29 in the National Housing Corporation’s (NHC) car park, Country Road, St. Michael, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., each day.

The Incremental Home Construction Programme is a sub-component of the Affordable Housing Component of the HNUP.??The Ministry of Housing and Lands’ project will provide a subsidy of a maximum of $10,000 or 70 per cent of total project costs for low income householders who qualify, to carry out minor repairs or renovations to their homes.??

Applications, along with a certified job letter; a current payslip; proof of ownership of the house and/or land; permission from the land owner to improve the house; an estimate of works to be undertaken; a bank statement covering three months, an approved letter from a financial institution; and the Barbados ID numbers and birth dates of all householders should be submitted to the Loans Department of the NHC by Saturday, May 29.??
