Young persons working in the diplomatic service and others with an interest in this area will have an opportunity to gain new knowledge and skills during the upcoming Young Diplomats Forum.
The event, scheduled for September 2 to 6 in Turkey, is expected to attract participants from 75 countries and is designed to not only recognise and enhance the next level of senior diplomats, but also to expand their skills and knowledge in the field of international affairs.??
Additionally, applicants interested in attending the Forum must be no older than 35 years.
The objectives of the Forum are to assemble a task force community of young global leaders on an annual basis in different international locations; develop future diplomatic leaders by furthering understanding and knowledge of global trends and challenges; and contribute to the international community through developing recommendations and consultations on key global issues from the young leadership perspective.
During the sessions, participants will benefit from lectures on areas such as The Future of the European Union; Diplomacy in the Middle East and North Africa; International Conflict Resolution – Track 2 Diplomacy; and International Cooperation in Global Energy Security.
Applications must be accompanied by a 500-word personal statement outlining the candidates’ previous leadership roles and future aspirations and an up-to-date curriculum vitae. These must be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org, by Monday, July 15.
