Barbadian research students have an opportunity to study at Japanese universities by applying for the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship 2021.

Potential candidates may pursue a master’s, doctoral or professional graduate programme courtesy of the Japanese Government.

Applicants must be Barbadian nationals under the age of 35 (born on or after April 2, 1986) and must have a university degree. They should also be willing to learn Japanese for six months at the beginning of the research study.

The benefits include a stipend, paid tuition and one return airline ticket. Successful students may choose to begin their studies in September or October 2021, and continue to March 2023.
