Barbadians are being urged to register for the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic???s (SJPP) new training course in photovoltaic installations, which starts Tuesday, January 20.
Photovoltaic Installations 1, a 45-hour two-credit course, will be conducted on evenings during the week and on Saturday mornings, at the Wildey, St. Michael, institution.
Interested candidates must have either one year???s experience in the solar photovoltaic industry, the SJPP Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Installation, or its equivalent.
At the end of the course, graduates will receive the SJPP Unit Certificate in Photovoltaic Installations 1 and may qualify to receive the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in selected units for the Roofer – Fitter Level 2.??For further information on application forms and fee structure, prospective students should contact Course Coordinator, George Renee, at 426-1920, Ext: 2302.
