Prospective students seeking to undertake a course of study at the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic (SJPP) from August may now apply for a range of full time certificate and diploma programmes.
The certificate courses include: animal husbandry, crop husbandry, mechanical maintenance, masonry, plumbing, garment technology, cabinet and furniture making, micro-computer technology, office administration, esthetics, catering and nursing auxiliary studies.
Diploma programmes include auto-body repair, marine diesel engineering, motor vehicle engineering, carpentry and joinery, refrigeration and air-conditioning, cosmetology, graphic design and print technology and civil and structural drafting.
Students are reminded that with some courses, the certificate level must be successfully completed before the diploma is attempted. Courses and programmes that are under-subscribed may be cancelled.
the full range of programmes as well the application forms may be downloaded from the website www.sjpp.edu.bb. Forms may also be collected from the SJPP???s main campus in Wildey. However, students are encouraged to apply on line. Failure to do so will result in persons being charged a fee of $10 for each application submitted.
The closing date for applications is Friday, March 28. A late fee will be charged if applications are submitted after that date.
