Applications for full-time programmes at the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic (SJPP) for the academic year 2015-2016 are now open.

The full-time programmes, which start in August, include: principles of landscaping and horticulture; agriculture; cabinet and furniture-making; masonry; network technologies; plumbing; refrigeration and air-conditioning.??

The other programmes are: garment technology; nursing auxiliary studies; cosmetology; home economics; graphic design and print technology; motor vehicle engineering technology; marine diesel engineering and basic computer maintenance.

Applicants should apply online at The SJPP has advised that applying online is free of charge, while paper applications will be charged a processing fee.??Applicants must be 16 years old at the time of registration, and only one full-time application of two choices may be submitted by an applicant.

All local applicants must submit proof of their qualifications and all required documentation before the closing date.??Applicants who are awaiting examination results must submit those results to the SJPP as soon as they are available.

The closing date for all full-time applications is Monday, March 23. There is a late date of Friday, April 3, with a late fee of $10.00.??Prospective students may contact the Polytechnic at 426-1920, for further information.
