The National Blood Collecting Centre, located at Ladymeade Gardens, St. Michael, has implemented an appointment system, due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.

Persons desirous of donating blood are asked to call 429-4307 or 836-7993 to make an appointment. Volunteers must be between ages 18 and 70; weigh at least 110 pounds; and be in good health.

The National Blood Collecting Centre will continue to operate between 8:00 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. on weekdays, and 8:00 a.m. and noon on Saturdays. 

Only persons who have made an appointment and are scheduled to donate blood will be allowed access to the facility.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Board of Management apologises for any inconvenience which may be caused.
