Artists and artisans, who wish to exhibit their work at CARIFESTA XI, which will be held at the Grande Market, Suriname, in August, are asked to register at the National Cultural Foundation (NCF) by Friday, June 28.
All submissions will be judged so that the best products from Barbados will be exhibited and sold at the event.?? The selected artists and artisans will be notified by Friday, July 5. Selected craftwork must be ready for delivery and packed for shipment by Friday, July 14.
Interested persons should submit five samples of their work to the NCF for consideration.?? Images of large pieces may be presented on CD, DVD or video.
Submissions should include the applicant’s name, contact information, titles of the works, and dates of completion.
Applicants are also asked to note that CDs, DVDs, and videos submissions will become part of the Research Library of the NCF.
Registration forms may be collected from the NCF, West Terrace, St. James or the Queen’s Park Gallery at Pelican Village, St. Michael.
