The first in a series of discussions and practical workshops for literacy practitioners, and volunteers, teachers, and parents across the island, will get under way this weekend.
The Barbados Association of Reading will launch its 2010 programme of activities at the Erdiston Teachers’ Training College, this Saturday, February 6, at 6:00 p.m.
Featured speaker will be Caribbean lexicographer and linguist Dr. Jeanette Allsopp, who is currently based at the University of the West Indies’ Cave Hill Campus.?? She is best known for her work entitled: "The Caribbean Multilingual Dictionary of Flora, Fauna and Foods", which has been published in English, French, French Creole and Spanish.
