The Student Support Services Department of the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, in conjunction with Sagicor Life Inc., will host an Indomitable Spirit Award for special needs students.
This award will be given to 22 students across the public school system who have shown remarkable resilience in the face of personal challenges in the form of medical, physical or academic setbacks, or family crises.
The inaugural ceremony will be held on Saturday, July 4, at the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation Building #2 (next to Oran Ltd.). The patron of the ceremony is Senator Kerryann Ifill, President of the Senate, who will also present the overall prizes to the male and female student who show the greatest Indomitable Spirit.??The event will be repeated every five years.
