Government’s Community Development Department is again partnering with the University of the West Indies (UWI) to pay tribute to 11 outstanding Barbadian women.

In celebration of International Women’s Day on Sunday, March 8, the CDD in collaboration with the Institute for Gender and Development Studies, Nita Barrow Unit, UWI, will recognise these women for their sterling contributions to their communities and/or parish.

The public is therefore invited to nominate women from their communities for this prestigious award.

Nomination forms may be collected from the Community Development Department, East Wing 4th Floor, Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St. Michael, or any community or resource centre.

Completed forms must be returned to the respective centres or the Department by Thursday, February 19, 2009.
