Barbados will join countries worldwide to observe the United Nation’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities, tomorrow, Friday, December 3.

To mark the day, the National Disabilities Unit will team up with the Office of Student Services at the University of the West Indies, to stage an awareness drive from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the student activities lawn at the Cave Hill Campus, St. Michael.

The event is designed to educate the public about the rights of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Products and services available for PWDs will be on display. Representatives from the Unit will be also on hand to distribute information and demonstrate the use of the equipment which assists PWDs in their everyday life.The event is open to the public.??sharifa.medford@barbados.gov.bb
