The Project Execution Unit of the Strengthening Human and Social Development in Barbados Programme is partnering with Optimist Barbados for its Back-to-School Uniform & Supplies Drive.

Persons are asked to donate used and new school uniforms, socks, shoes, school bags, pens, pencils, erasers, text books, reference books, art books, exercise books, school uniform materials, belts, ties, paper, crayons and rain coats, for less fortunate families.

Collection bins are located at Scotiabank Sky Mall, Holetown and Rockley; iMart Lanterns Mall and the Walk locations; as well as Eddies Supermarket in Speightstown.

Monetary donations can also be made to assist with purchasing uniforms, supplies and the payment of school fees. Checks must be made payable to ‘The Progressive Optimist Club’, or deposits can be made directly into the club’s Scotiabank account at Haggatt Hall, St. Michael.

Organisations are also asked to assist by organising an internal collection drive for their staff and then arranging with Optimist Barbados a suitable collection time.

For more information on how organisations can provide further assistance, persons are asked to contact Optimist Barbados at backtoschool@optimistbarbados.org; via Whatsapp at 836-9004; or Cyryline Millington at 535-1654.
