In celebration of its 8th Anniversary, the Barbados Accreditation Council (BAC), will host an Open Day next Friday, November 16, at its office located at 123 A&B Plaza Centrale, Roebuck Street, Bridgetown (opposite Kingsley Furniture Store).
A visit to the department will allow members of the public to learn tips for detecting fraudulent educational institutions and qualifications and working in CARICOM countries.?? Quality Assurance and Enhancement in Tertiary Education will also be discussed.
The Open Day will run from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
There will also be opportunities to sign up for courses offered by registered educational providers that are recognised by the BAC. Information will be available regarding bachelor and post-graduate degrees, and other courses for information and communication technology, security training, care of the elderly and health and safety in the work place.
Patrons may take advantage of blood pressure and blood sugar checks as well as breast screening that will be on offer by the Diabetes Association of Barbados and the Cancer Society’s Mobile Unit.
Additionally, there will be also the added attraction of a chance to win a grand prize that will be drawn at the end of the day.
