The Barbados Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation???s (BADMC) will hold its next Southern Farmers??? Market on Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25.
It will be held at Fairy Valley Plantation House, next to the DHL Building, in Christ Church, from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. each day.
On sale will be a variety of vegetables, fruits and herbs; fresh eggs; an assortment of meats, as well as cassava, breadfruit and sweet potato flour.
There will also be jewellery, plants, clothes, flowers and a variety of preserves and Barbadian dishes available for purchase.
On Saturday, April 25, from 10:00 a.m. until noon, patrons will have an opportunity to sample Carmeta???s Lamb burgers. During that period, persons can also get active by joining the line dancing session.
Pharma Wellness International will conduct free blood pressure, blood sugar and BMI checks.??Vendors or farmers interested in taking part in the market are asked to contact Kelly Ann Gibson at 428-0250, by Thursday, April 23.
