Barbadians looking for a bargain this weekend are invited to the eastern farmers’ market on Saturday, December 8, at Six Roads, St. Philip (adjacent to the Emerald City car park).
The market, which is being hosted by the Barbados Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation (BADMC), will run from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Patrons are being encouraged to come out and support local farmers and buy their fresh fruits and vegetables as well as local beef cuts and fresh chicken.
Plants and fruit trees will also be on sale as well as food and drinks. In addition, there will be free blood pressure and blood sugar checks, a jumping tent for children, music and karaoke. The event is free to the public.
