The Barbados Agricultural and Marketing Corporation???s (BADMC) Southern Farmers??? Market for July will take place on Friday, July 25, and Saturday, July 26, at Fairy Valley, Christ Church, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

All interested farmers and vendors are asked to contact the Agri-Business Development Manager at the BADMC, Ian Eastman, at telephone number 428-0250 to book a space or for queries. The deadline for registration is Wednesday, July 23.

Under the theme: Grow Local???Buy Local, the farmers market will feature a range of meat including turkey wings, minced meat, lamb, beef burgers, lamb and beef sausages, black belly lamb, local beef, pork and chicken which will be on sale. Flying fish, frozen tuna and marlin will also be among the fish available.

Consumers will also benefit from attractive prices on grated cassava, and ready to cook cassava chunks, fruit juices, fresh milk and eggs, as well as local agro-processed products such as jams, oils, wines, sauces and marinades.

Local craft, jewellery, clothes, plants and flowers will also be on sale during the two-day event, while free health checks for blood pressure, blood sugar, and the Body Mass Index will be carried out by Knights Advantage Club.

There will also be a 100 per cent Bajan food sale including black pudding and souse, rice and stew and fish cakes.??All are invited.
