Everyone is invited to come out and support local farmers and vendors, as the Barbados Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation hosts its last Southern Farmers??? Market for the year under the theme Grow Local, Buy Local.

It will take place at the Fairy Valley Plantation House, next to the DHL Building, Christ Church, on Friday, December 20, Saturday, December 21 and Sunday, December 22.

Patrons will have the opportunity to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables, a variety of meat including turkey wings, whole turkeys, minced meat, Black Belly lamb, local beef, chicken, pork, burgers and fish.

Fresh milk, eggs, onions, grated Cassava and ready to cook Cassava chunks, fruit juices, plants and flowers as well as other locally produced items along with 100 per cent Bajan Christmas delicacies including green pea rice, baked pork, sliced ham, ham cutters and much more will also be on sale.

There will also be blood pressure and blood sugar checks by the Knight???s Health Advantage Club. Karaoke and music will be provided by a popular deejay.

Schools interested in participating in the Educational Programme and Tour and farmers and vendors who are desirous of taking part in the market are asked to contact Kelly Ann Gibson at 428-0250/1 by Thursday, December 19.

There is no admission fee and the public is invited.
