The Division of Youth in the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, is encouraging the nation???s youth to support its upcoming Youth Week through volunteering.

One of the activities to mark Youth Week is Youth Volunteer Day, which will be marked on Tuesday, September 22. Individuals and youth groups are encouraged to selflessly give of their time by volunteering in any capacity.

Interested persons are asked to document their volunteering activity by taking photos and/or videos of the deed and then posting them to the Division???s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/divisionofyouthbarbados. All posts should include the hashtag #246youthweek.

Prior to Tuesday, September 22, persons are instructed to register their volunteering project/idea with the Division. Students, youth groups and clubs are all encouraged to participate.

Youth Week, which starts on Sunday, September 20, with a church service at the Carrington Wesleyan Holiness Church, Welches, St. Michael, will also include activities such as a National Youth Consultation and a ???Battle of the Sexes??? sporting event.
