The Barbados Drug Service will hold a public lecture/discussion later this month on the warning signs and symptoms for strokes.

The theme for the lecture is: Stroke through the Ages, and will be delivered by Stroke Neurologist in Toronto, Canada, Dr. Andre Douen.

It will be held on Tuesday, October 27, at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, Two Mile Hill, St. Michael, at 7:00 p.m.

Prior to the start of the lecture between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m., there will be free Body Mass Index (BMI) and blood pressure screenings, as well as CPR demonstrations.

Guests can also view displays and discuss therapies used in the treatment of strokes.??Bus transportation will be provided to the Fairchild Street Bus Terminal after the lecture.
