The Barbados Museum & Historical Society will be launching its 2012 Journal at the museum, St. Ann’s, Garrison, St. Michael, on Tuesday, December 18, beginning at 3:00 p.m.

This volume of the leading annual publication, offers 12 articles by historians

and researchers on a wide range of fascinating topics such as: Barbadian migration to Brazil; The Panama estates; The H. Richard Sonis and Nancy Sonis art collection; The Story of Peter Leyel’s grandfather, Sir George Campbell Deane, Kt.; Archaeology in Speightstown; The 1646 Hapcott map; Military history; Runaway white servants; The Lascelles Slavery Archive; Commodore James Douglas; The Annual Bird Count; and The History of Taxonomic Classification of the Sea Egg.

Members of the public are invited to attend and purchase signed copies. Admission is free.
