The Government of Barbados will tomorrow, Friday, November 20, sign an agreement with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the administration of the United States Agency for International Development Project Specific Grant to further aid the A Ganar Program.

A Ganar is one of the components under the Skills for the Future Program.??The signing ceremony takes place at noon, in the Cabinet Office Conference Room, Government Headquarters, Bay Street, St. Michael.

Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs, Christopher Sinckler, will sign the agreement on behalf of Government, while IDB???s Country Representative, Joel Branski, will sign on behalf of that organisation.??Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Ronald Jones, will also be in attendance.

Implemented by the Partners of the Americas Foundation, A Ganar uses the power of sports to help at-risk youth develop market-driven job skills; become entrepreneurs; or return to the formal education system.
