The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) is continuing its programme to secure all of its potable water facilities and will be erecting a gate at the BWA end of the bridge which crosses the Belle Gully.

It is expected that this will directly affect residents of some St. Michael districts who use the bridge and yard of the Belle Pumping Station as a short cut.

Residents of Odessa McLean Drive, Belle Gully and Licorish Village are therefore advised that the bridge will be inaccessible from August 15.

The Belle Pumping Station is the most recent in the list of pumping stations and reservoirs to be secured by the Authority. Five other locations are to be completed in the current financial year.
