The Barbados Youth Service (BYS) is currently accepting applications from unemployed youth between the ages of 16 and 22, for its 2014/2015 intake.

Successful applicants will participate in the BYS??? 12-month developmental programme, which includes three phases: residential, skills development, and job attachment.

During the residential phase, candidates will learn academics, sports and personal development skills.

The second stage of the BYS programme will focus on skills development in the areas of cultural arts and vocational training.

The final component of the programme is the Job Attachment phase, where candidates will benefit from specialised work experience in their chosen fields.??Application forms are available from the Division of Youth at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, Sky Mall, Haggatt Hall, St. Michael.

Completed forms must be returned to the Ministry or to the Barbados Youth Service, #33 Warrens Industrial Park, St. Michael, by Tuesday, July 22.??Further information may be received by calling the BYS at 310-4011 or 310-4012.
