First-timers entering colleges and universities in Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States, during the academic year 2011-2012, will, next month, be provided with a forum to make queries and receive information aimed at making their transition easier.
This is when the Barbados Community College’s (BCC) Counselling and Placement Centre hosts its annual Pre-departure Orientation on Friday, July 15, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the College’s Liberal Arts Auditorium, ???Eyrie’, Howell’s Cross Road, St. Michael.
Sessions will cover areas such as socio-cultural adjustments, coping with homesickness, living on a college budget and safety issues.
