The Theatre Arts Department of the Barbados Community College (BCC) will host a production entitled: Red Harvest, at the Frank Collymore Hall, Church Village, Bridgetown, on Saturday, May 7, and Sunday, May 8, at 7:00 each night.

The event represents the students??? final examination, and it seeks to provide them with real life experience within the realm of theatre, both in performance and technical theatre. This year’s examination will showcase 13 acting students and four technical students.

Red Harvest is a play collaboratively written by the acting students and the director Rashida Harding, a graduate of the Theatre Arts Programme.??Set in contemporary Barbados, it tells the story of how fear grips the nation as strange, unexplainable deaths start to occur.

The play further explores the themes of superstition and religion, and the fight for justice and truth.??The play is not recommended for children under 14 or sensitive patrons.
