The Barbados Defence Force will be celebrating its 35th anniversary this week and its members will take some time to assist persons in the community.

On Wednesday, August 13, members of the Barbados Regiment will clean the property of legionnaire Herman Adams of Forde???s Road, Clapham, St. Michael, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Members of the Barbados Coast Guard will also assist the Multiple Sclerosis Society with its water safety project at Browne???s Beach, Bay Street, St. Michael, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The following day, Thursday, August 14, members of the Barbados Coast Guard will render assistance to Sam Austin, of Gaggs Hill, St. Joseph, between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

On Friday, August 15, the Chief of Staff will inspect the troops and take the salute at a parade at St. Ann???s Fort, Garrison, commencing at 5:00 p.m. He will also deliver the feature address and present awards.
