The Barbados Defence Force (BDF) will continue its 30th anniversary celebrations with a number of activities over the next few days.

For the remainder of this week, legionnaire and single amputee, Simeon Holder, will benefit from the BDF???s technical assistance programme. Repairs will be carried out on his home at Flagstaff Road, St. Michael.

BDF personnel will also paint and complete repairs at the Soroptimist Senior Citizens Village and Activity Centre at Eden Lodge, St. Michael, on Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24. The work will be conducted between 8:00 a.m. and 12 noon.

Also on Saturday, the public will have an opportunity to learn more about the roles and responsibilities of the BDF at a career showcase. The Barbados Coast Guard, military police, Health Services Unit, and BDF Band will be among the departments on display.?? The career showcase will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at St. Peter???s Parish Church, Speightstown, St. Peter.
