The Barbados Employment and Career Counselling Service (BECCS) will be conducting a series of community outreach activities, beginning next week.

According to BECCS’ Acting Placement and Counselling Officer, Judith Branch, the outreach activities are aimed at sensitizing the public about the department and the programmes it offers.

The first outreach activity takes place on Thursday, August 22, at the Bush Hall Community Centre, Bush Hall Yard Gap, St. Michael, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

On Friday, August 30, the second outreach activity will be held at Bonnetts Resource Centre, Bonnetts, Brittons Hill, St. Michael, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

During the activities, persons will be able to register for local and overseas employment, and receive vocational counselling in career guidance, curriculum vitae writing and interview techniques.
