The Barbados Employment and Career Counselling Service, formerly known as the National Employment Bureau, will be holding two outreach programmes for unemployed persons and the youth.

The sessions will be held this Friday, March 23, at the Ellerton Resource Centre, St. George, and the Parkinson Resource Centre, The Pine, St. Michael, on Tuesday, March 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The aim of these activities is to register and counsel the youth and unemployed persons within the communities.  Eligible registrants may also qualify to access training offered through the Inter-American Development Bank’s Strengthening Human and Social Development Project, which is available through the Ministry of Social Care, Constituency Empowerment and Community Development.

Officers will be on hand to guide participants on areas such as résumé preparation, job search techniques, career choices and accessing training courses.
