The Barbados Employment and Career Counselling Service (BECCS), of the Ministry of Labour and Social Partnership Relations, will conduct its first community outreach activity on Friday, February 21, at the St. Mark’s Resource Centre, Blades Hill, St. Philip.

The event aims to sensitize the public about the department, and the services offered.  It will run from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Personnel from the department will be on hand to assist patrons registering for local and overseas employment and seeking vocational counselling in career guidance, as well as provide assistance in CV writing and interview techniques. 

There will also be two presentations. The first on CV Writing will be at 10:00 a.m., while the second will address Interview Skills, at 11:00 a.m.

Interested persons are asked to bring their Barbados Identification Card in order to access the services.

Employers or their representatives within the community are also welcome to network with the Placement and Counselling Officers to share information relating to any new job opportunities.
