Chief Information Officer, Jacqui Wiltshire, presents a child with a gift during a recent GIS Cares event at the QEH

The Barbados Government Information Service (BGIS) continues its outreach programme, “Making a Difference Day-GIS Cares” with a presentation to the Childrens’ Development Centre (CDC) next week.

The Centre will be the beneficiary of storage containers, stationery and office equipment, as staff of the BGIS lend support to the organisation as part of activities for its (BGIS) 50th anniversary celebrations.

According to BGIS’ Marketing Officer and Coordinator of the event, Ronny Yearwood, “the BGIS is looking to give back to the community, and we believe this donation to the Centre is a worthwhile gesture.  It is our hope that we can continue the trend and encourage others to get on board”.

The event will take place on Wednesday, June 4, at 10:00 a.m. at the Children’s Development Centre, Ladymeade Gardens, Jemmotts Lane, St. Michael. The Chief Information Officer, Jacqui Wiltshire, will present the items to Manager of the Centre, Goldwyn Edwards.
