Barbadians and visitors to the island can look forward to a bigger Agrofest this year.

That is according to Agrofest coordinator, Thedore Fraser, who said that there will be a new attraction to the agricultural extravaganza.

Citing the inclusion of an expanded bird show, Mr. Fraser noted that that aspect would return to its original venue at the Queen’s Park Steel Shed.

"The last time the bird show was held in the Steel Shed was back in 1972, but since we needed more space and it has grown, we thought it would be appropriate to go back to its original venue," explained the Agrofest coordinator.

With over 250 exhibits running daily, including displays from overseas, patrons can expect livestock shows, a Gymkhana and Agility dog show, a Bajan barbecue, as well as an evening of gospel, among other attractions.

On the first day, Friday, February 26, the gates will open from 10:00 a.m. for school children and to the general public at 4:00 p.m.?? The following two days, the gates will open to the public from 10:00 a.m.
