The National Sports Council (NSC) is taking steps to generate more revenue, so it would be less dependent on financing from central Government.
To this end, the first billboard will be put up this Thursday, April 29, at the National Stadium, at 10:30 a.m., during a brief ceremony to be addressed by Minister of Sports, Stephen Lashley, Mr. Inniss and a representative of Roberts Manufacturing, the company with the first advertisement.
Mr. Inniss added that he expected other businesses to follow suit, stressing that the initiative would greatly assist with the development of sports in Barbados.
