When the Black Rock Polyclinic’s Men’s Health Group hosts its first meeting for the year, next Tuesday, January 18, participants will address the topic of Defensive Driving – Driving to Stay Alive.

The group will meet at 7:00 p.m. and the guest speaker will be Road Safety Consultant, G. Wayne Cadogan.?? ??

According to the Barbados Road Safety Association, though the number of road fatalities had dropped from 26 in 2009 to 22 in 2010, and fatalities of motor vehicle occupants decreased from 61.5 per cent in 2009 to 45.4 per cent, the percentage of vulnerable road users had risen from 38.5 per cent to 54.6 per cent for the same period. ????

Men from the Black Rock and neighbouring districts are invited to attend and participate in the discussion. Refreshments will be served afterwards.??lbayley@barbados.gov.bb
