The Barbados National Oil Company Limited (BNOCL) has demonstrated its continued support to the educational pursuits of young people with a cash donation to the Blackman and Gollop Primary School.

The school’s Parent Teachers’ Association accepted the $800 donation on behalf of the students during a recent presentation at the Staple Grove, Christ Church, school. The funds will be used to purchase several white boards for the classrooms.

Delivering brief remarks, BNOCL’s Marketing and Public Relations Officer, Samantha Hazelwood-Ermay, said attaining a solid education was the pathway to life-long learning and tackling any challenges which children may encounter in adulthood.

She added: “Ensuring that our youth have strong teaching aids cements the basis for them to have a smooth transition into secondary, and ultimately, tertiary education.

“The Barbados National Oil Company Limited continues to support our youth in their educational pursuits, with the understanding that this is a commitment that safeguards the future of our nation.”
